Guest Services Associate

Temporary Part Time - Hourly (weekends)

Job Type: Temporary Part Time - Hourly (Weekends)
 

Pay: $16/hour
 

Work Days:  Saturday, 9:30 AM to 5 PM; Sunday, 11:30 AM to 5 PM
 

Supervisor: Administration
 

Purpose of Position: Guest Services Associate is the first point of contact for museum guests, walk in event inquiries, and business appointments. This position is responsible for presenting a welcoming and friendly face to any guest visiting Vehicle Vault. 
 

Essential Functions:

  • Open the museum entrance including doors, gates, access points and signage

  • Greet customers as first point of contact both in person and on phone

  • Sell museum admissions including single visit, groups, and memberships

  • Manage and sell gift shop merchandise

  • Maintain a clean and welcoming environment

  • Assist in facility maintenance including sweeping, mopping, dusting, etc.

  • Cash drawer and point of sale administration, including counting of money and completion of sales
     

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Knowledge of POS software (square) and basic computer knowledge

  • Must be able to count money and fill out sales close reports

  • Must have an exceptionally positive attitude 

  • Must have exceptional communication skills

  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment with constantly changing situations and criteria

  • High level of comfort in a small, dynamic, ever changing work environment

  • Ability to work nights and weekends if needed for events
